43" Main ATC Display
The GF VT 16 familiy is designed specifically for Air traffic Control and features 4K resolution, slimline cabinet design, long operational life with high reliability, and customer-focused configuration.
Thruput is the industry leader in innovation and development of 4K primary control monitors for ATC, and leads the world in this technology. Backed by over 20 years of technical expertise in video display, video processing and recording solutions, the GF VT 16 family are the industry's first 4K x 2K monitors developed specifically for ATC, and have achieved over 3 million continuous operating hours since entering operational service in 2014.
4K Technology For ATC Display Optimisation
By displaying one or several channels of data on one screen without obtrusive bezels getting in the way, (as in a traditional multi-monitor workstation), allows controllers to view all available information clearly and easily in one convenient field of view.
Simultaneous Input Signals
The GF VT 16 family can display input from up to four video sources simultaneously. Users can position each screen to create their own, optimum working layout.
Input and Output Resolution
The GF VT 16 family supports precise rendering of screen resolutions for a pure and perfect rendering of the source data. The system also supports resolution scaling for each of the video inputs, so any legacy resolutions can be displayed at their true resolution, or scaled proportionately to fill the screen allocation.
Wide Brightness Range
The monitor can be adjusted within a wide brightness range of 14 to 700 Cd/m2 to suit the ambient lighting conditions and the needs of the ATCO.
Pure colour brightness control
Brightness is controlled by Thruput True Pixel technology, to ensure all brightness levels are perfectly rendered with their correct colour values, and the correct contrast is maintained across the screen regardless of variations in ambient temperature, light levels and the passage of time.
Lifetime
Based on the the best published information, a key factor on a monitors operational life is the gradual decline in backlight output. Once this drops below the
requirements of the ATC unit, then a costly upgrade or repair can ensue. Thruput avoid this, by fitting redundant backlight capability which boosts the operational life in a cost effective and efficent way as shown below:
