Sun XVR 2500: High Resolution Monitors

In co-operation with Sun Microsystems, Thruput have successfully integrated Sun Ultra 25 & 45 Workstations, using the Sun XVR-2500 Graphics Accelerator with:

Any 28", 30" or 56" high resolution monitors


The VIDEOMAXtm Graphics accelerator, enables the Sun XVR 2500 to drive the following resolutions:

  • 28" 2048 x 2048 (produced by: Barco, Techsource, Aydin, Wide etc).
  • 30" 2560 x 1600 (produced by Dell, Apple, HP etc).
  • 56" 3840 x 2160 (produced by Thruput, Westinghouse etc).

Typical applications for the VIDEOMAXtm Graphics accelerator are shown below:


Each Sun XVR 2500 can drive a Dell 30" monitors.
 


Dual Sun XVR 2500 can drive a Thruput 56" monitor
 
All Thruput monitors
 The Sun XVR-2500 can directly support the following combinations of  Thruput screens:
  • 2 off  28" running at 2048 x 2048 resolution.
  • 2 off 30" running at 2560 x 1600 resolution. 
  • 1 off 30" running at 2560 x 1600 resolution and 1 off  28" running at 2048 x 2048 resolution.
  • 1 off 56" running at 3840 x 2160 resolution (equipped with MIDAS).


All 28" and 30" Thruput monitors include the ability to convert single link DVI  into dual link DVI. This enables the Sun Ultra Workstaion with Sun XVR 2500 to drive 28" and 30" screens at full resolution.


The second port of the Sun XVR 2500 can be used to drive an additional screen, either high or low resolution.
